Cloud Scan Study & Opt-Out

A research group at the University of Wisconsin–Madison is conducting scans of the Internet to understand how configurations are deployed and used. These scans come from the following IP address range:

128.105.72.0/22

Additionally, HTTP requests will include the following User Agent:

Mozilla/5.0 (compatible; WiscCloudScan/1.1; +https://cloudscan.cs.wisc.edu)

If you wish to have your networks excluded from scanning, you can drop connections from the above subnets. Alternately, network administrators can contact cs-cloudscan-opt-out@office365.wisc.edu to request exclusion of their networks.
